The 75th World Foundry Conference (WFC 2024), hosted by the World Foundry Organization (WFO), was held in Deyang, China from October 25-30, 2024. The theme of the conference was "The Developing Foundry Industry", bringing together approximately 1500 outstanding experts, senior scholars, and industry elites in the field of casting from over 30 countries around the world to witness this international event in the foundry industry.

During the conference, 12 units' innovative technologies and products were awarded the title of "2024 Global Foundry Industry Innovative Technologies and Products". Among them, the project jointly applied for by BOLE and Professor Zeng Xiaoqin's team from the Magnesium Materials Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, titled "Development of Large Magnesium Castings for Automotive Applications Using Thixomolding Technology," was awarded this honor.

BOLE technology significantly reduces defects in the magnesium alloy forming process, improves material utilization, reduces energy consumption by about 50%, and breaks through the limitations of traditional forming processes in terms of injection volume, locking force, solidification defects, etc., meeting the production and manufacturing needs of large high-performance parts such as shock absorbers, motor housings, etc. It will have a profound impact on the sustainable development of the automotive industry and even more fields, and create a better future for the magnesium industry together.
